SPRING IS FINALLY HERE...

In addition to all the other things I juggle as a wife, mother, bank teller, & fashion designer, I also deal with the stress and flareups of rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, asthma, and chronic fatigue syndrome. This past winter in particular was a rough one, with multiple flares happening due to both the cold and the inconsistent weather patterns. I was really looking forward to spring arriving…and then COVID-19 hit!

Along with many other hundreds of people worldwide, I now had to worry about how to handle the fact of being in the high risk category but still maintaining a “normal” life and household while juggling schooling the kids at home around jobs, and business needs.

It has been a somewhat difficult task, but along the way I’ve managed to work through some important things for MJOCHELE. I took on a intern, a local fashion student from Ohio State University, to help with some of the minor tasks while passing on my knowledge; I finally finished (for now) the website which had been languishing in wait of updates for far too long; AND I’m slowly working on a new (small) collection for Fall 2020, which will be available for pre-order soon!

While the last few months haven’t been ideal, and the opportunities & shows I had been expecting to be involved in were canceled for this year, I am determined to continue sharing our mission with all of you. I am really grateful that after such a long journey to get here, I can really start to share what & why we do what we do!
