PLANNING DURING A PANDEMIC
Wow. It’s been a minute since I updated the blog…. How did December show up so soon?!
This year has been just turned inside out, hasn’t it? This year was supposed to be THE year, coming off our official launch at New York Fashion Week last September, where MJOCHELE was actively producing and selling. However, everything ground to a solid stop in March. Our runway shows & popups were all canceled, our photoshoots were dropped, and fabric supplies weren’t really being shipped anywhere except to mask makers.
Due to my own health issues, my family & I went into pretty strict isolation except for necessities & anytime I had to go into work ( I also work part-time at a local bank, which was an essential business). This meant that even once school started in Aug./Sep., we kept our children home as virtual learners…which ended up being pretty hectic with 2 working parents, and left no additional time to work on any production for 2020.
In the last week, my husband & I decided that I would take a temporary break from the bank in order to get through the holiday season safely, due to skyrocketing COVID-19 numbers within & around our county. I am hoping this also allows me some extra time to roll all the moving pieces into place to get this party started, at last!
Be on the lookout for Pre-Sale announcements, and some sneak peeks of everything planned for 2021!
